Hudson chemical technologies was literally on fire as every investor came around to demand their own pound of flesh, it was more like a battlefield for Manuel as he kept wishing and hoping for them not to let the bad news reach the hospital.

The press crew was in a frenzy and they kept trooping in the company with different questions bombarding him with different puzzles that could never be sorted out. Manuel was very angry and confused as he sent words to all the transport agencies in New Jersey, America.

He wants to see that the news gets to every official that’s in the railways, train stations of every kind to track the time Mr Webb traveled out.

He spoke to the team members of Hudson chemical technologies for review and the solution to tackle this problem with immediate effects.

Jayden was not left out as he kept running around and helter-skelter to fix the problem of damage to work.

Manuel had never faced a plan to encounter such a challenge in his entire business life.

“Why don’t you collect a loan? Maybe it’s possible they might give us a loan while we fix the contract and project with other investors”.

Jayden suggested why Manuel thought about that as a perfect suggestion to begin with.

“But what if the banks aren’t willing to loan them money because of the recent chaos caused by the investors?” He asked them aloud.

He’s going to find Mr Webb by all means if not his daughter will face the worst living nightmare she has ever encountered in her entire life.

The whole company of Hudson chemicals was as busy as a bee as they kept signing files upon all files, making calls upon calls, making research upon receipts, applying for loans in every way they could, digging out all they could.

“At Least let’s all go get a drink to calm our heads down, all of these will only make us go crazy.” Edward told his friend and Manuel scoffed.

“That’s why I’m here.” Edward said.

“You can start now by picking up your damn phone that’s sounding like bombs to my ear!!!” Edward shouted at him. His phone has been vibrating but he was too absent-minded and lost in his laptop to notice.

He picked up his phone and answered the call.

“Yes Cole, what’s the issue?”

“Whattt??! What do you mean by that?”

“Are you all crazy? Were you sleeping on duty?”

“Now I don’t give a fuck about this bull shit you just spewed, how you make her escaped through, that’s none of my business. What I know is that by the time I come back, I want to see her!!!”

He hung up the call in anger and almost smashed the phone but he bitterly suppressed it cause he knew he needed the device for other vital information.

“What happened?’ Jayden and Edward asked at once. He sighs restlessly as he answers.

“Mr Webb’s daughter is nowhere to be found.”

Diana’s POV.

The water I held slipped from my hands and shattered mercilessly on the almond tiles. I stared at the screen again in shock to be sure I’m not hallucinating.

CEO SON, MANUEL HUDSON KIDNAPS MANAGER’S DAUGHTER OVER ALLEGED FUND EMBEZZLEMENT.

No way this is happening, I’m looking at the screen with Christine being dragged into BMW black Jeep and locked inside.

Oh dear Christine, look what your father has gotten you into. I need to see her, I badly need to see her.

I rushed inside like a maniac and opened my wardrobe, I caught a glimpse of my Barbie pink top with strapless hands, I grabbed it and wore it on and looked for baggy jeans to wear beneath. I can’t believe that I’m all panicky and sweaty in this cold. I grabbed my head warmer and flew from the house before Mum noticed me.

I’m going to Christine’s house, let me confirm things there myself before diving in my own imagination or what I saw.

Her eyes were swollen from too much tears, she sat there numb that she didn’t even notice when I entered.

“Mum?” I called but she didn’t notice that there was a human beside her. Yeah! I call her Mum the same way Christine calls mine.

I tapped her and she jerked up at once.

“Oh Diana” She sniffed as tears rolled down her cheeks.

“She isn’t here, they took her. They took my baby away.” She bursted out in fresh tears.

I could only pat her by the shoulder as I was lost in thought.

Why would Mr Webb do such a thing and implicate his family?

The man was already a devil’s incarnate but doing this was least expected by him, now Christine is in a mess, His wife is not only weeping for her daughter but for the shock that he actually ran away with a huge sum leaving her alone with plans of not even coming back.

“Where’s Easton?” I asked her.

“He left, he left in anger and I don’t know where exactly he went to, I truly don’t dear.” She cried more.
