Seed of Possession

It’s the start of the most anticipated Family Dinner of Monteverde’s. Because it’s the night of opportunity for them and it’s also the night that the Head of the Family will officially introduce the participants of the battle of succession and aside of that this also the time when they will meet the wife of the cold billionaire Xander Monteverde.

The family dinner was held in the banquet hall of the mansion. This year the number of guests is 70. From 100 guests it goes down to 70. It looks like the Headmaster favoured by other members of the family goes down by year. The banquet hall is little by little visited by the invited guests. They are all excited for the night’s events. This is actually the end of the family tradition for the year.

” Where is Father? I thought he wanted to start the Dinner early?” The youngest child of Perol said. Her name is Davina the youngest out of four children of Perol. She is the one who handles Monteverde’s farm around the world.

” Well, As you can see. It looks like he got excited again. I bet it’s about the wife of Xander ” The second out of four children of Perol said. Her name is Juveline the one who handling the Monteverde’s chains of Resorts around the world.

Perol Monteverde and his deceased wife Anastia Monteverde had four children. The eldest child is Raul Monteverde who died five years ago. Second child is Juveline Monteverde Frair married to the accountant Pedro Frair. The third child is Callisto Monteverde and the youngest child is Davina Monteverde Brown, married to the Lawyer Carlo Brown.

They are the main family of Monteverde’s for now. Because once Perol died and passed the throne there will be a new main branch of Monteverde’s.

” Sigh, Father really is fond of mysterious things ” Juveline said while shaking her head.

” Well, we can’t help it. Since we were children he has really liked mystery and thriller. He even wants to know the every gossips in this family. ” Davina replied that makes Juveline laugh a little.

” Mother always scolded Father because of him getting into gossips about the other families life” Juveline said as she smiled at her youngest sister.

They had a great childhood with their mother, father and their other siblings. But all happiness doesn’t last long when their mother dies due to illness. And because of that their father immediately turned cold to them and shut them away.

” Shall we sit at our table?” Davina asks her eldest sister.

” I guess, It will be great” Juveline answered as they head to the table together with their husband and children in their back following them.

LORENZO is now fixing the tie of his suit. He is on the indoor balcony of the mansion. Watching all the guesses walking inside the banquet hall. Chantal saw his husband fixing his tie. She immediately walked towards her husband as she held the tie and fixed it for him.

” There you go,” Chantal said after tying the tie.

” Thank you” Lorenzo said while looking at the people down the balcony.

” Your welcome” Chantal answered as she gently wiped the shoulder of Lorenzo.

” How’s the children? Are they sleeping?” Lorenzo ask as he looks at his wife who is smiling at him softly.

” They are all inside the children ‘s, They are all having a good time with their cousins, ” Chantal answered as she stepped back from his husband.

Lorenzo just nodded his head as he glanced at the east hall of the mansion.

” We should go now, Grandpa will be here any second from now” Lorenzo seriously said as he lent his hand towards Chantal.

Chantal shyly takes the hand of his husband as she shows a soft smile and walks together with her husband.

As soon as the two couples went to the Banquettes hall all of the gazes and attention went towards them. And after a few seconds they are all surrounded by their relatives who want to give support to Lorenzo running in the Battle of Succession.

Chantal immediately put a fake smile on her face because of the sudden irritation she is feeling right now. In just a moment Lorenzo was separated to Chantal because of the pulling and pushes of his relatives and because of that Chantal is left alone.

” These pigs ” She murmured as she gripped his hand out of annoyance. Lorenzo is famous towards his relatives because he is easy to approach, unlike the other members of the main branch of the family. And this is the part Chantal really hates. Because she knows those hungry relatives just want to suck her husband’s blood until his last drop of blood.

But she can’t easily intervene because she knows that her husband needs support. Especially, that the game for the succesion will begin.

GISELLE is now walking with Xander. She didn’t feel any nervousness or fear right now. She just calmly walking with Xander makes feel awkward to Xander because he expected that Giselle will be nervous and scared for the family dinner but it looks like he’s wrong in judgement towards Giselle.

” Don’t forget my reminder Giselle, Watch all your steps and what will you say to others ” Xander reminds Giselle.

” You look like a drowsy kid who is constipated at the children’s party” Giselle comments that makes Xander flustered.

” W-what?”

Giselle just ignored Xander as she looked straight ahead. ” Sigh, You are really something” Xander said out of frustration as he left a deep sigh.

” I will kiss you later, That will be an apology to you” Giselle bluntly said as she glanced at Xander.

” You said that I can kiss and touch you in front of them. Because you are okay today same as when I first met you” Giselle boardly explained as she wipe the hair strings poking in her eyes.

” Yes, If the situation needed. Lorenzo and his wife know my situation. They will ask us to show our love in front of our relatives. Especially in front of Grandfather. We just need to act perfectly until the announcement of participants is announced by Grandfather” Xander said that makes Giselle nod.

” Don’t worry, I’m good at acting” Giselle confidently said as she showed her seductive smile unconsciously that made Xander blush.

They stop at the middle of the indoor balcony. They both look down and they see the Perol walking slowly with Raulo. ” It looks like we are late. ” Xander said, which made Giselle chuckle.

” The stars are always late, ” Giselle meaningfully said as she looked back at the old man with an authorative aura.

” Interesting”

ALL of the people inside the banquette raised when they saw the head of the family enter the banquet hall. They all bowed their head to show respect to the head of the family. As soon as Perol get inside he immediately look around the hall scanning the every corner to search for Xander. Because he is dying to know the woman who captured the heart of his ice Grandson.

” Goodevening Grandpa” Lorenzo greeted out of excitement as he give Perol a big great hug.

” Good Evening too, Grandfather ” Chantal politely greeted Perol.

Perol just smiled at the two married couple as he continued to search for Xander.

‘ Where is that kid?’

” The Head is already here” Perol stopped from searching when he heard Xander voice behind his back. And he knows that Xander is his wife right now. Now, he can sleep comfortably after knowing the woman his Grandson married into. Perol took a deep breath as he slowly turned and look at the wife of his Grandson.

His eyes widened when he saw the gorgeous sexy woman beside his Grandson. The woman looks like a fire, a lava walking inside the mansion because of her sexy dark red dress that shows the curve of her body perfectly and her fiercely gorgeous face that anyone can fall.

” He married a seductive woman. I didn’t expect it” Perol unconsciously mumbled as he walked towards his Grandson.

” Is she your wife?” Perol immediately asked, and Xander nodded.

” What is her name? Introduce her to us.” Perol commanded. A sexy chuckle echoed to the hall that came from Giselle. Who is looking at the Head with a sexy smile in her eyes.

” Goodafternoon Grandfather, My name is Giselle Hidalgo Monteverde. The wife of your handsome Grandson Xander Monteverde. It’s my honor to finally meet you. ” Giselle said enthusiastically, which made Perol blush unconsciously.

” Well, It’s nice to finally meet you,” Perol said as he avoided the eyes of Giselle because he suddenly felt shy in front of her.

” Oh! Xander. Is this the girl who captured my ice cousin?” Lorenzo immediately intervened as he walked by the side of his Grandfather.

” You are Gorgeous today, Mrs. Monteverde ” Lorenzo deeply said, which made Giselle raise her right eyebrow and smile.

” I’m flattered to hear that from a man who looks like a dashing knight, ” Giselle said as she showed her seductive smile that made Lorenzo step back out of flustered.

Xander immediately noticed what happened to Lorenzo. ” Stop from smiling, All the men in this hall are going to melt” Xander whispered that made Giselle giggle.

” I would like to meet all of you later, But I think we should start the dinner,” Giselle politely said.

” I think my Granddaughter is right, We should start the dinner right now. ” Perol said while still avoiding to look at Giselle’s face. All of them went to their assigned seats. As the hall filled with murmurs and whispers because of the new married couple. Especially to the new gorgeous lady addition to the Monteverde’s family.

Chantal can’t take off her eyes to the new woman of the Monteverde’s household. She suddenly feels a rival towards this woman.

” She is dangerous ” She mumbled as she looked away from her.

Giselle notices the look from Chantal. The look that says that Chantal is considering her as a rival. Giselle just smiled as she looked at Xander.

” I’m doing a great job”
