Amelia’s Pov

I smelled danger and Red said, “Be ready Amelia, anything can happen.”

“Sure Red.”

I heard his Alpha voice, “Go down.” And I obeyed without thinking twice about it.

A mighty scary wolf came after him, Red was angry that the wolf harmed Lorde and she suddenly took over, my claws were out and my eyes got changed too.

The wolf came after me with full force and I was lucky to dodge it as it landed on the ground and dust covered the place, then I stood my ground, jumping very high to hit the wolf who pushed me then I ended up hitting the tree with my back real hard as I groaned in pains.

What is this thing? Why do I smell chemicals around it?”

“Amelia you have to run far, it came for just me.” I heard Lorde voice in pain as he was still bleeding and not healing as it was supposed to be, it made me angrier as I faced the wolf again, roaring so loud as I targeted the neck and killed it in seconds.

“We did it Red.”

“Yes, yes, our mate will be proud of us.”

I can’t believe I will be this strong then I moved to where my mate was, I panicked already seeing his eyes closed and he was not breathing as usual.

“Alpha Lorde, are you still there? Please say something, say something.”

He didn’t make any response, his eyes were still closed and the bleeding didn’t stop at all.

What will I do? There is no one here to help us at.

“Red what should I do?”

“Oh no, use his car to take him home so the pack nurses will start treating him.”

“How can I forget that.”

I rushed to where the car is as I was sweating really hard, “Amelia you can’t drive.”

Red reminded me that I am doomed, what will I do to save my mate, I can’t let him die, he is the only person that shows me true love and care, he is the only person that can protect me from my family.

I was already crying when Red said, “Call the beta, his phone should be with him.”

I checked and found his phone, luckily it was unlocked, I searched for Beta and Simon, then found the number, I called him immediately.

“Hello Alpha Lorde, how is your first date going?”

“Please help us, we got attacked and Alpha Lorde is in a bad state now.”

“What? Are you still in the woods?”

“Yes.”

“Be there right now.” He hung up and I was still worried about Alpha Lorde, I kept on trying to wake him up as tears keep on dropping from my eyes.

Simon came with other packs and they carried Alpha Lorde in the car and he said to them, “Make sure he gets treated instantly by the nurse, I and his mate will be home soon, I need to check out something and you three wait, you will be taking this dead wolf to our investigation room.”

They obeyed as they drove off then he asked me, “Tell me everything that happened.”

“Okay.”

After everything we got back to the house and the first person I asked about was my mate, I went with the beta to where he was receiving his treatment.

“Good day, Beta Simon and Miss Amelia our future Supreme Luna.”

“Tell me the state of Alpha Lorde.”

“We were able to take out the deadly virus in his body, luckily it didn’t affect his heart but he will be slow to recover, by the way, whatever must have attacked him, I say it’s very dangerous mostly if they are a lot out there.”

“This is serious, Amelia you can go in and be with him, I need to find out where this wolf comes from because he smells of chemicals and I don’t perceive any wolf trait from him.”

“Okay Simon, I will take care of him, let me know if you come across anything useful.”

He nodded taking his leave and the nurse told me they will bring Alpha Lorde to his room where I will be looking after him.

I entered his room and truly he was in a terrible state, but the question playing in my head is what exactly is that thing that attacked us?

Andre’s Pov

My maid brought a bottle of wine and a cup of glass to serve me in my living room when one of the boys came in.

“Good evening Lord.”

“Tell me the news.”

I sipped from my glass of wine as he open his mouth to respond to me.

“We sent the gift as you requested to your cousin knowing he will be at the woods at that particular time.”

“I guess he loves the gift, so tell me was it a waste of time or did it kill the alpha?”

“I am sorry lord but seems this particular one was a waste my lord, we need to work harder to develop a creature monster that can harm someone of his standard.”

I broke the glass and he got scared, “What do you mean we?”

“I am sorry Lord, I mean I and the others will work very hard not to make this same mistake as this, please pardon us.”

“I hope so, what exactly happened?”

“He killed the wolf we sent.”

“What about the body?”

“We didn’t get there in time to take care of the body.”

“Okay have all your time, I am leaving tonight for my quest, when I return I should expect good news.”

“Yes lord.”

“Now get out of my sight.”

“Thank you so much.”

“Hey you, clean these broken glasses,” I ordered the maid to walk to my room to get the things I arranged.

I hope I finally found a witch that will undo this curse in my lineage so I can become an alpha.
