Pregnant?

One month later.

Jessica was in Singapore. During this time, she tried to make peace with herself.

No matter how hard she forgot Lexi and busied herself with her lectures, the man’s face, Lexi, was always present when she opened or closed her eyes.

After combing her hair, Jessica took her bag, then immediately left the room. She had to leave now or she would be late for class.

“You’re welcome,” he replied. ” Are you sick?” Daniel asked, he walked in a circle and then he sat behind the wheel.

“No, no, no. I just ate the wrong thing,” she said.

“Sure?”

“Yes.”

Then, he immediately started the engine of the car and began to run it towards the campus.

Throughout the road, Jessica tried to hold back her nausea so as not to make his brother worry.

Until she arrived on campus. Jessica got out of the car and greeted Beryl who was waiting for her at the gate. They both walked to the classroom. They didn’t want to be late for school.

After making sure his sister entered the classroom, Daniel immediately drove his car to the main building of Kim Foundation and Kim Corporation, which was not far from campus.

Just about to enter the classroom Jessica suddenly fainted. Together with a security officer, Beryl took Jessica to a nearby clinic for immediate treatment.

While Jessica was being treated, Beryl immediately called Daniel. He wanted to tell him about Jessica who had just fainted.

Beryl grabbed the phone in her shirt pocket. Then, without waiting for long, he immediately looked for Daniel’s number and immediately called him.

“Why did she faint?” Daniel was ready to leave his office.

The phone call ended. Daniel immediately hurried to leave his study, while Beryl sat back in the waiting room to hear the news of Jessica’s condition from the doctor who checked Jessica.

15 minutes later, Daniel arrived at the clinic where Beryl told him. The man rushed to look for his younger sister in the treatment room.

“Daniel, here!” Beryl was waving his hand so Daniel could come.

Then the two men went into the treatment room where Jessica was seen resting. There was a nurse beside him.

“Which of you two is Lexi?” the woman who works as a doctor asked

Both men shook their heads.

“The patient was conscious. She was looking for a person named Lexi. It looks like she had a nightmare or maybe he was feeling exhausted, ” the doctor said.

“Is my sister seriously ill?” Danielle asked. There was clearly a worried expression on his face.

“Of course not. She just feels tired and should get enough rest. If possible, you should be accompanied by eating healthy foods so as not to get tired easily.” she explained

“So can Jessica go home now?” Daniel asked

” We can’t wait until the patient wakes up, ” she said.

Daniel told Beryl to stay straight back for his class today while himself choosing to wait for Jessica to wake up.

After 1 hour Jessica finally woke up. Daniel immediately called the nurse to make sure to transfer Jessica to the hospital right now, if something happened to her sister badly.

” My sister is awake, ” Daniel said, calling one of the nurses to check on the condition of his sister.

The nurse walked over and approached Jessica.

“Since when do you feel sick?” asked the nurse who wanted to diagnose Jessica’s disease. She didn’t have time to ask because Jessica fell asleep again after waking up from her fainting.

“I feel dizzy every morning sister. Sometimes accompanied by nausea, ” Jessica rememberred few days he often nauseous and dizzy.

“What about day or night?” she investigated it in detail.

“Dizziness only arises in the morning, for nausea sometimes afternoon or evening occasionally I feel nauseous within the past week.” Jessica answered.

“This is a letter to check with Doctor SpOG. Or Miss Jessica can check it herself at home using a test.”

“Am I pregnant?” she couldn’t believe the nurse had just asked her to take a pregnancy test.

“You have to make sure to check it by going to the doctor or buy a test independently and check it by yourself,” the nurse explained patiently.

Jessica just nodded. Then, Daniel finished making the payment in clinic. He was led by his sister to get out of the treatment room. They both walked towards the car in the parking area.

Daniel was just silent. He looked at Jessica with a different expression. If Jessica got pregnant, what would he do next? It was impossible for her to abort the baby who was in the womb considering that some time ago Jessica also had a miscarriage.

There was no conversation between Jessica and Daniel. They were both busy with their own thoughts. He didn’t know how to tell their grandfather about Jessica’s pregnancy. Either Daniel or Jessica thought about it because they weren’t sure yet. Whether she was really pregnant or just symptoms that resemble young pregnancy.

Jessica rubbed her stomach with her right hand silently. If there really was a baby branch growing in her stomach, she felt very grateful. A sense of sadness flashed in her heart, when she remembered the miscarriage she experienced some time ago. Yeah, if the baby was still around maybe her relationship with Lexi would be fine. Not as bad as now until there was no contact of any kind with Lexi. No in-person meetings, no calls, no messages in the last month.
